Borovets Ski Resort
Borovets is the largest and most popular ski resort in Bulgaria. Situated on the northern slopes of the Rila Mountains, it stands at 1350 m above sea level. Borovets is within very easy reach of Sofia International Airport (73km) and 126 km from Plovdiv.
Borovets is a high class ski resort with various Pistes to chose from. Restaurants, clubs, shops and luxury hotels have been bulit in recent years to give the resort a modern luxurious ambience.
The Borovetz ski school has more than 200 ski instructors, all of them fluent in different languages. Skiing classes come in 5 difficulty levels, from A to E - in groups or individually - 4 hours per day, 6 or 12 days. All course graduates receive skiing certificates.
Borovets enjoys 18 ski runs including 2 greens and 2 blacks.

Borovets is an excellent choice of resort for those trying out the sport for the first time, after which many of whom just don’t want to go anywhere else. Apres Ski Compact, with two main pedestrianised walkways packed with cafés, bars, tourist shops and stalls all in a bustling marketplace atmosphere. Horses and carts give trips around the resort. Good for beginners, improvers and families.
Children
Children over the age of 7 years are welcome to join the Borovets Ski School. The snowboard school is available from the age of 12 years upwards. Borovets also offers a specialist 'ski kindergarten' which is available for children between the ages of 4 and 7 years. This includes tuition, equipment, lift pass and lunch. |
